Job Title: Database Administrator
Our Client: Our client is a prestigious Semiconductor Firm providing various solutions within Sensor Process Technologies. This individual will be responsible for managing various databases along with in-house SAP Basis Administration. They are looking for a Database Administrator to join their team here in Singapore!
Responsibilities:
* Administer and manage heterogeneous databases, including Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, KDB+, etc.
* Oversee in-house SAP Basis administration for SAP and HR Portal systems
* Ensure SAP, HR Portal, Database, and OS comply with audit requirements
* Create detailed technical proposals based on application and project requirements
* Conduct proof of concept studies and evaluate solutions
* Set up and configure databases to support various applications and project needs
* Develop scripts for database monitoring and performance tuning as needed
* Provide maintenance support, including backups and restores, patch deployment, system performance tuning, and issue troubleshooting
* Perform system migrations, upgrades, and integration with other systems
* Ensure the security of database servers at both the database engine and OS levels to meet IT security compliance standards
* Plan database capacity to accommodate business growth
* Participate in and support regular Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises by performing database recovery, identifying and documenting gaps, and updating relevant DR documentation regularly
Requirements:
* Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
* At least 3 years of experience in SAP Basis, Portal, and Oracle Database administration
* Proficiency in database administration in both Unix and Windows environments
* Certification as an Informix DBA or MS SQL DBA is an advantage
* Certification in other OLTP & OLAP databases is an advantage
* SAP Basis Certification is also advantageous
