Job Description
Our client is a prominent Japanese law firm. They are currently looking for an experienced Associate Lawyer (M&A) to join their growing team in Singapore. Proficiency in Japanese language is essential to effectively communicate with Japanese Native Stakeholders and Customers.
The Responsibilities:
• Support existing and new M&A projects in the South East Asia region and beyond
• Independently draft, review and negotiate operation contracts
• Manage the Group’s entity structure, overseeing the corporate secretary work and routine filings of all of the group entities
• Work closely with the project stakeholders to provide legal and regulatory support for business operations and on-going projects
• Liaise with Japanese and local lawyers and secretary and staffs

• 法務・規制サポート
• 弁護士やスタッフとの連携
Requirements
The Requirements:
• Possess a lawyer qualification
• Proficiency in Japanese language is essential to effectively communicate with Japanese Native Stakeholders and Customers
• Preferred to have cross-border M&A deal experiences, top international law firm background as a plus.
• Experience in operating in corporate legal projects
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in building relationships of trust and influencing outcomes across a range of stakeholders.
• Strong execution skills, including but not limited to contract reviewing and drafting, executive summary and presentation, internal and external negotiation skills, etc
