Job Title: Associate Scientist (Synthesis, Inorganic Chemistry)

Our Client: Our client stands as a global leader of advanced materials, used in various applications such as vehicle electrification, industrial automation, consumer electronics, energy-efficient lighting, air and water pollution control, superalloys, and many others. They believe in delivering high quality advanced industrial products and exemplary service to customers globally. As an Associate Scientist, your primary responsibility would be to perform chemical and physical characterization of synthesized materials according to procedures and protocol.

The Responsibilities:

* Carry out experiments to support the development of new and technically innovative solutions which would positively impact the production
* Perform chemical and physical characterization of synthesized materials according to procedures and protocol
* Assist the scale-up of materials from bench to pilot-plant and assist in their implementation to full production
* Prepare quality and detailed technical reports and their effective communication to management through oral or written presentations
* Promote a laboratory culture of 'safety first' at all times

The Requirements:

* Preferably at least 3 years of relevant work experience with good Bachelor's degree or MSc in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
* Prior work experience in inorganic chemistry
* Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
* Good attention to detail and solution oriented, with the ability to be both strategic and 'hands on' to overcome challenges in an effective and timely manner
* Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate scientific concepts to internal and external audiences
